How it works

Figuring out life insurance doesn't have to be complicated.

You don't need to know what kind of policy you want or how much coverage you need before we talk. That's what I'm here to help you figure out. We'll start with what you already have, talk about what your family may actually need, and look at your options from there. Here's how it works.

The process

By the end, you'll have a plan that fits your family.

01

Start with the Scorecard

If you aren't sure where you stand, start here. The free Life Insurance Scorecard asks a few simple questions about your current coverage and your family's situation. It takes about five minutes and helps identify anything you may want to take a closer look at.

Book a free 30-minute call

03

We look at the numbers together

To make our time useful, I might have you run a quick Preflight first, a short checklist that estimates what your family would actually need. Think of it as homework that makes the plan clearer. Then we put it together: your coverage, your priorities, and your budget, with no decision required on the spot. If what you have is already enough, I'll tell you.

04

If you decide to move forward, I'll help with the rest

Once you've decided on an option that feels right for your family, I'll walk you through the application and let you know what to expect. Depending on the policy and insurance company, there may be some additional health questions or underwriting. I'll explain those as we go and keep you updated. Once your coverage is approved and in place, I'll make sure you understand exactly what you have. And if questions come up later, you can call me. I'm still your agent after the policy is issued.

On the call

What we cover in thirty minutes.

It's a real conversation. I listen to what matters most to your family, answer your questions, and walk you through your options at your pace.

1

A few basics

Your age, height and weight, tobacco use, health history, and state. Some carriers also look at driving or criminal history. Honest answers help me match you to the right one. About two minutes.

2

What fits your budget

I look at what your family would need against what fits comfortably each month. The right policy is where those two meet.

3

The application

If you move forward, most applications finish the same day. Approval can take a few minutes to a few weeks depending on the carrier, coverage, and your health history.

Staying current

Life changes, so coverage should too.

As your life changes, your plan may need to change with it. I check in at least once a year to make sure your coverage still fits the family you're protecting and the life you're living now.

A few common questions

Things people ask before we talk.

Is the call really free?

Yes. There's no fee to talk with me. If you eventually purchase a policy, I'm paid a commission by the insurance company.

Am I going to get pressured to buy something?

No. Sometimes I talk with someone and recommend a change. Sometimes I tell them to keep exactly what they have. My job is to help you understand your options so you can make the decision that's right for your family.

What if I don't know anything about life insurance?

That's completely fine. Most people I talk with don't. You don't need to know the difference between term, whole life, IULs, or riders before we talk. I'll explain anything that's relevant to you in plain English.

What if I can't afford a lot right now?

Tell me. Your budget is part of the conversation, and I'm not interested in making anyone insurance rich and cash-poor. It doesn't make sense to put you into a policy that takes money away from your family's cash flow every month. We can look at what's realistic and decide from there.
